Finn will be presenting on the recovery process of the NYC region after Hurricane Sandy, illustrating how New York City, New York State, Hoboken, Long Beach and the federal government used the recovery as a process to advance goals of resiliency and sustainability, while New Jersey, by contrast, did not. Finn will also touch on his research of the evolution of Dutch approaches to resilience planning based on interviews with Dutch urban planners, water managers, and others.
