An expert in urban systems, Ramaswami will describe food action plans cities worldwide are developing to ensure a more equitable, climate-resilient, healthy and sustainable local food system. She will use examples from the United States and India to highlight emerging urban-systems science that helps identify pathways for achieving these multi-faceted outcomes, as well as uncertainties, challenges and opportunities for transformative action through collaboration between scientists and communities.
