On August 6, 2021, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released its Sixth Assessment report on climate change, called a "Code Red for Humanity" by the UN Secretary General. The report details that regardless of what we do today, our planet will continue to warm through 2050 causing further climate disasters, and our window to curb the worst impacts of future climate change is quickly closing.
