Tuesday, September 28, 2021. 3:00 PM. Webinar: World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Arctic Regional Climate Center - Network. Shanna Combley, NOAA. Sponsored by NOAA. More information here. Register here.
Abstract: NOAA supports the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Arctic Regional Climate Center Network (ArcRCC-N) that is currently in demonstration phase. The ArcRCC-N exemplifies cooperation between the Arctic Nations and links Arctic national meteorological and ice services to provide regional climate products and services to complement the efforts to meet the climate information needs for those living and working in the Arctic. Twice per year, there is the Arctic Climate Forum (ACF), a flagship activity of the Arctic RCC-Network, that serves as a platform to bring together climate experts and users from the Arctic region with the aim of supporting collaborative efforts to derive substantial socio-economic benefits in climate sensitive sectors. We will invite opportunities for NOAA to expand its support to the ArcRCC-N.
