The Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music presents the world premiere of The End of Rain, a multimedia symphony for eight voices, orchestra, and video by composer and multimedia artist Scott Ordway (Rutgers University). This work uses crowdsourced text from 225 Californians to explore the relationship between landscape, memory, and emotion in an era of continuous fire and drought. The performance includes documentary photography and videography by the composer. Commissioned by the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music and featuring Grammy-winning vocal ensemble Roomful of Teeth.
